Am i close to my first period? Need lots of answers please!:)?!
Question: Ok I haev been having white discharge for 4 months, breasts strted to grow in fourth grade ( in sixth), mom had hers when she was 12(turning 12 in one month), i have armpit hair and hair down there, acne, craving for chocolate more than usual, i weigh 101.5 pounds. I also play Traveling basketball people say that i won't get my period for a long time then but then why do I have all these puberty stuff and why am i close to my period?

Most girls begin their period two years after their breasts begin to develop, and experience vaginal discharge for a while before. If I were you, I would talk to your mom about the proper way to put on/remove a pad and carry extras just in case. The facts say you should start soon, but remember every girl is different.
First periods are also usually light, so don't expect too much blood, either.
it sounds like it.... make sure you have tampons on hand from now on just in case, because it really sucks to be at school or the mall and get your period...... i know from experiance *groan*
well i'm 14, and i am close to geting my first period. i have had spottings. i know the discharge is annoying, but u won'tstart till u get spotting. but u might get it soon, cause i'm allitle underweight, i am only 38kg, i dunno wat that is in pounds but u can check on google
It's hard to say. Every girl is different. I got mine when I was ten years old and without warning.
I wouldn't think too much of it unless the discharge has an abnormal odor or color or it itches because otherwise you might want to see a doctor.
Well first off, most girls usually get discharge about 1-2 years before they get their first period. But this might not apply to you, because everyone is different. If your mom got her first period when she was about your age then you'll probably get your soon. But this is so hard to predict. Could be tomorrow, or it could be in three years. Ya never know till you wake up one morning and see blood in your underwear :). Although you havent been having much discharge, your breasts can be a pretty big factor to when you might get your first period. How big are your breasts compared to how big your mom's were when she got her first period.

You're close alright. You need to be about 105 pounds to get a period. Even at that weight you'll probably won't have a regular one. Congrats on becoming a woman!!

you should get it soon! Moms and daughers usually start around the same time... it's just genetics. You have all the signs of completing puberty.
I'd say you'll get it just before or after your birthday.

yeah it could be coming soon!
you could go through several attempt to ovulate though befor eyou actually do... so you could have the white cervical fluid for a while... don't worry! :)
read this book asap though, it's called cycle savvy and it will be the best book you will ever read about this. but if you want to get even more into the details of your cycle, you can read taking charge of your fertility ... both are by the same author , toni weschler... and i think both are super important,. :) good luck! are you having a ceremony or anything for when you get it? that can be fun!!
You probably are about to get your period. It is not uncommon to get it at 12. I got mine around that age as well. Everybody gets their periods at different times so nobody can say that you wont get your period for a long time.
