Ladies & girls only please!!!?!

Question: I have 2 things to say.[sorry if their long]
1. My friend and i were talking during seminar and we asked our other friend if she started her period and she said no. but the next day she started her period.Isn't that a really weird coincidence?
--------------------------------------...
2. I have almost had all the symptoms of my 1st period for the past month.& lately i have been really moody. Like sometimes my friends will to little things and i'll just bust adn yell at them, same with my ffamily. Also, i get really mad about little things, and i've been getting alot of normal viginal discharge. What does this mean? I searched this before so don't tell me to look it up on google, I just want advice from some one who has their period.

1. Yes, what a coincidence!
2. It is very possible that you could be getting ready to have your period. I would suggest talking to your mom (or another close female relative, if you can't). I am sure that there is a lot that you know about it already, but it can be a scary thing, starting out. This would be just to make sure you know what's going to happen when it does.

Good luck :)

hey there - two answers for two things:
1) - just a coincidence. yeah, a bit weird, but nothing all THAT weird.
2). It is quite common for women to get moody before their periods. As long as you understand what's going on and make adjustments (think: OK, it's your period speaking, so let's not dump your irritation on other people) - it's all fine. Stop for a second before yelling at people and think - hey it's my period, it's not them. You're probably going to get your period quite soon. It's all well.

it is a normal phenomena, nothing is there.

1. maybe she really didn't and just didn't want to feel left out...2. you are maturing and going through huge changes in your hormonal system. it is good to be prepared for when it does come, but it doesn't mean it will happen this week, or this month. I never felt anything, even when I first got it....it was about 6 months later that I started having some PMS to let me know it was on it's way. I was lucky to be very regular. every 28 days, but some are not. Especially the first year or so. you should probably carry a pad with you in your purse so that when it happens you can handle it. As for your vaginal discharge, if it is not itchy or smell bad, it is your normal lubrication that also comes with being a young adult. You may also find (I did when I lived one year in an all girls dorm) that you and your closest friends all get their periods around the same time of month. It has to do with pheromones. It is a great thing to go through these changes, but it is normal for you to have questions. I am so glad that you look things up yourself, because lots of people on these sites don't take this seriously and give some really crappy advice. Good luck.

Yaa u r going to have ur periods now.Do not worry, its normal n u will face it as it comes before u

1. Yeh i guess it is a coincidence. But she is 12 and that is age most people start.

2. Don't worry about it. This means you will start soon. I got those symptoms for quite a while before i started, i would be moody, and i would even get stomach pains.

Coincidental and you could be getting ready for your period soon. A study was done that found many women and their friends have their periods around the same time. Very weird, my friend and I have been friends since fourth grade get our periods on the same day. Look it up it's true.

1. I know this is strange, but alot of coincidental things happen where periods are concerned! Like when I found out my friend had started I felt like "Omg, whats wrong with my, I haven't started yet" and I started 2 days later! Also, when I told this other friend I had, she started that afternoon! And this other girl I know, she started the same day as one of my friends. So give this girl the benefit of the doubt.

Also, it sounds like you will start soon. Be prepared.
