Is the morning after pill illegal in the states?!

Question: If so (I've heard it is).. why? do the christians have something morally against it?

Answers: If so (I've heard it is).. why? do the christians have something morally against it?

It is legal in most states. Including the one I live in. The moral issue is that some people feel if there was a fertilized embryo in your uterus and you take the morning after pill...it's a form of abortion. And you know how those anti-abortion people are. Always trying to make it their business whether a woman wants to carry a baby or not. Maybe if all those anti-abortion people offered to pay for the lifetime raising of all children born to mother's who didnt want them...the abortion rate would go down. But all they really wanna do is press their holier than thou opinions.

No, it's legal.

No. In the US the morning after pill is legal for over-the-counter sales to women over 18, and a legal prescription drug for women younger than this.

That's not to say there isn't a lot of opposition to it. Some right-to-life pharmacists have refused to dispense it on the grounds that it may prevent a fertilized egg from implanting. This is really kind of nonsense, since, like all hormonal contraception, it actually works by preventing ovulation and fertilized eggs result in an actual pregnancy *maybe* 25% of the time. But it's impossible to *disprove* that EC does this, so various religious types disapprove of it.

It is legal....at least most of the states...if it is not legal somewhere I don't know where that would be....it is even over the counter if you are over the age of eighteen...any one younger needs a prescription...

No, it is legal. Some pharmacies don't carry it, though, because the pharmacists are given the option not to, if they are opposed to it.

yeah you can buy it in the states

all the " day after pill " is birth control...Most places give you a "stronger" dose of it...

So sure if birth control is illegal... haha.

Some places even give you "sugar pills"... which is stupid.

Ive had to take the morning after pill twice, so i researched it.
