Scared about period?!

Question: What if my period starts in school or in church or in a public place and I don't have a pad or tampon? And what if it leaks on my clothes before I can stop it?

You'll probably have cramps before so you'll get an idea that maybe it's coming. You'll also be able to feel it even if a little comes out so you can go to the bathroom. It is scary, I had mine when I was 14 and didn't tell anyone for 6 months :( It's not that bad though and you'll know, just carry a pad in your purse of bag if you feel crampy.

Awwwwkward!

Use the boyscout motto- "be prepared".

Wear a panty liner. You can find them in the section of the store that has the regular pads. They are thin and totally unnoticeable through your clothes. It'll give you enough time to get to a bathroom.

You should always be prepared around the time it is due. Wear a pad just in case and keep pads and tampons in your purse. If you use tampons, use panty liners in case of leaks. They work very well. If you have a very heavy flow, use tampons and regular sanitary napkins. Good luck!

If you're at school then go right to the nurse, she'll have something there. I am sure one of your mates will have something if you ask. If you can bring a change of clothes in your bag or at least carry a pad with you.

It is normal to feel scared. You should always be prepared by carrying a little-nice purse with a pad. Also, keep a pair of underwear and some changing clothes in your locker. When you do get it, you will feel wet and hopefully you'll feel it before it goes through your pants or skirt.
I cried when I first got my period and grandma gave me some chamomile tea to alleviate the abdominal pains.
Also, you may feel some lower back pain, abdominal pain or mild cramps before you start your period. Watch for those symptoms and be prepare.

Well, honestly, accidents do happen. But you can minimize the chances of that by being aware of the messages your body is sending you... do you cramp, get cravings, have pelvic pressure with a need to pee more often... that sort of thing. Keep track on a calendar, so you know when you are MOST likely to start. Don't go anywhere without a tampon or pad nearby. When it is getting to be that TIME, wear darker clothing... just in case. Go into the bathroom throughout the day and check for any warning signs... there usually are some in the way of darker drainage, a spot or two, etc. Rarely does a girl/woman go from not having a period to having a heavy flow... there is usually a build-up. You just need to keep an eye on what is going on.

If something like this happens,i would ask either a close friend or another female for a pad or a tampon. This might be a little bit embarrassing but every girl goes through this at some pont in time. If i'm not lucky enough to get one i would usually resort to a makeshift pad:(toilet paper lots of it) and try getting home or to the nearest drugstore as soon as possible. if it leaks i would suggest you try as best as possible to hide it and get home at once.

well before your period you are going to get cramps which are below your belly button and your pubes may start to itch so those are some signs so then just be prepared. If your not prepared at school you can ask to go to the nurse or ask a teacher if its somewhere else ask/tell your mom or someone you trust to help you with your problem but don't be scared about it
