Heavy discharge? (Testosterone, maybe? What?)?!

Question: I'm really sorry to get into disgusting details here, but I've had very heavy periods for a long time. (A long time meaning 1 1/2 years.) I figured this heavy discharge was just something along with this. However, I have since gone on the pill and I still have heavy discharge. It's clear and sometimes comes in clumps, but every day I need to wear a pad, and it comes every day. It usually (once in awhile smells a little displeasing but not terrible) smells just... Not bad. NOT good either, but not disgusting or like I have an infection (I think.) Anyways, I've told my doctor about this and she just says that we're all different and it's likely not an infection. My mom thinks my body may have too much testosterone or something.
Now more and more often, there is a smell to my underwear (I don't normally sniff underwear, but I can usually smell a hint of something right after I take it off) after I take it off. I only use one pad a day unless I'm on my period.
Anyone have any answers?

PCOS can cause excess body hair as well as all sorts of other symptoms. You might consider having your doctor check your hormone levels. There may also not be anything wrong with you, it's just the way you are. You say you wear a pad to help with the discharge--be careful that you're not wearing a pad all day, as there is a risk for TSS. If you're having enough discharge that you feel you need some extra protection, just use panty liners. They work just fine for discharge. Change them every few hours just like you would a pad when you're on your period.

no one else answered your question and i felt bad but I have no idea, maybe go to another doctor or something and see what is going on, wish i could actually help you out.

No eews...

I would talk to a doctor. They can do a blood test and it might just be an imbalance - it may also be something with your thyroid (basically an imbalance.)

Just go get checked out - have a physical done with full blood workup -

It's better to know than to just worry about it.

Get a second independent opinion if you can afford it. An other thought is find people that physical differences such as your self. Try a university for groups or research projects or medical education, they usually charge less if anything.
