Yeast infection??!

Question: I had sex with my boyfriend last night and noticed some mild burning...this morning I woke up and it was worse with some mild itching. It seems like a yeast infection. My question is can he contract it from me just having sex that one time. We don't use condoms, i'm on Mirena and we're both 100% faithful. Since we just had it that one time and symptoms weren't full blown what are the likelihoods of him catching it? Can men even catch it?

I don't know the likelyhood of him getting it, but it's definately possible for him to. He can have it without any symptoms, so I would suggest he find out about getting treatment. I don't know if he can use monistat cream like a woman can do, so he should talk to the doctor or pharmacist to find out. And don't have sex until you've both been treated.

they cant really catch it. i would recommend getting some of the over the counter cream for yourself though. They have the one time stuff and just let your boyfriend know what's going on with you.

Yes he can contract it..Especially if he's not circumcised. Symptoms aren't always noticable.

Yes, men can get a yeast infection from his partner if she has an active yeast infection.

I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to find out what's going on.

Yum yes he can catch it regardless that it was only once and the symptoms were not full blown. Think you both may need to go to the chemist and get some stuff
Better safe that sorry

Yes, it is possible that this could be a yeast infection. It may also be something else though.
As you are having unprotected sex it is possible that he can catch an infection from you - if you have one.
However, I would recommend that both of you see your GPs as soon as you can and undergo STD checks for peace of mind.
