What do you do when your pad fails on you..?!

Question: You know what i mean right? I mean like if you sit down kinda slanted and you leak above where your pad is. I hate that cause when I'm at home I sit on my leg on my chair and I leaked through my favorite pair of sweat pants! What do you do to prevent leaks?!

thanx...

I wish there was a way to prevent leaks. Just this week I've ruined 4 of my favorite pairs of panties and my pajama bottoms because of that.
Tampons leak too and when they do it's even grosser then when a pad does.
If the blood is still wet cold water will wash it out but I've decided I'm going to buy underwear just for periods and I've been wearing only dark bottoms so if blood gets on them you can't see it and I'm never going to wear my favorite of anything while I'm on my period again. They're right about the longer pads and wings help but nothing will help a hundred percent.

I use tampons! I didn't know people still used pads this day and age.

hmm you cant really
pads with wings help

switch to tampons?

Stop sitting on your leg. and dont use your fav sweat pants on your period.

you should prob get the super pads....its gonna feel like you have a diaper on at first but you will get used to it. it works a whole lot better b/c its longer and thicker and when you sit it covers more area in your underwear therefore less leak room. good luck!

If you are really stuck on using a pad try a longer pad with wings. Or your best shot at stopping leaks is using a tampon. I had the same problem until i tried the longer pad with wings and i found that a tampon works the best. Good Luck. Hope this helps you out.

use a tampon.
its not uncomfortable
you can't even feel it.
don't worry just practice at home with it a couple times, and you'll get the hang of it.
its 10x better, trust me.

You not going to prevent leaks, its a fact of life. Even people who use tampons are going to leak. You can change your pad more frequently and that will help, buy the overnight or largest pads available and that helps also.

What everyone else said lol. You can also try wearing a double pair of undies even though that can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable. :) Good luck!

if tampons were uncomfortable people wouldnt use them. if it is uncomfortable you are doing it way wrong....

I would use a thick pad with wings and snug fitting underwear. The thick pad sits closer to you and having tighter underwear helps hold everything in place. I use regular Always thick pads when I'm at home, and I wear them with tight bikini panties. I've had a few close calls, but never had a really big problem. I think that using pads with wings should help you out a lot.
