Breast tenderness. Is this normal?!

Question: I am so sick and tired of this. My breasts start to hurt about 3-4 days after the end of my period and get progressively worse until the start of my next period. I've actually wondered how I can make myself a steel-cupped bra!

All the information I can find says that breast tenderness related to the menstrual cycle is normal. I think this is out of hand. Anyone else have breast tenderness for 3 weeks of every month?

I've always had the normal breast tenderness for about a week before my period. But the extended version has been going on for a couple years...about since the birth of my son I think. Would it have to do with that?

Could it be an indication of something wrong? Are there any vitamins/minerals that I should be taking to help? Or maybe herbal supplements?

Maybe it's unrelated but I also suffer with severe and intense irritability for a few days to a week before my period starts.

Thanks.

When it comes to a medical issue..... I always say..consult a expert/professional
It doesn't sound normal.. at all.. tenderness for 5-7 days ..yes
for u and Ur baby.. see a Dr
U didn't say if u were breast feeding?
the irritability sounds normal
good luck..

That doesnt sound right at all you really should see a doctor. It definitely should not be getting worse after ur period, especially for a whole 3 weeks. see a doctor, better to be safe than sorry x

that sounds like a serious PMS symptom. you also said that it happened after you had your son. could be that your breast have gotten bigger than your body can handle. see a doctor and get the proper advice.
