Does anyone know!? HELP!?!

Question: Ok...I just had a baby. I AM NOT BREASTFEEDING && I am RAPIDLY losing weight. It is now to the point where I look disgustingly skinny! I dont really have an appetite...or if I do, its like I can't take much in. What is wrong? && what can I do to gain around 10-15 lbs within 2 weeks...if it is even possible? I know eating helps. But what foods should I eat? Preferably high calorie! Also, are there any supplements/medications I can take? I know on "Mean Girls" lindsey lohan gave regina "Kalteen" bars that made her put on LOADS of weight...I know it isn't real...but is there anything similar!? that would be good.

It's completely normal to lose weight rapidly after giving birth. You are not getting normal sleep, and your hormones are still all over the place. Your appetite has dropped since the birth and not breastfeeding will do it too.

Try not to panic, your state of mind can also affect things.

Focus on your little one, enjoy the baby, and hopefully your mood will lift, and with it your appetite will return.

If not, consider the possibility that you might have a mild case of post-partum depression.

You'll be seeing your OB at 6 weeks post partum, so definitely share your concerns with her then. You can also call the nurse at the OB's office right now and explain the situation, she might have helpful suggestions right over the phone.

I Would Talk To A Doctor First And Maybe They Can Help You With This You Might Be Sick Or Something I'd Rather Be Safe Then Sorry If You Know What I Mean

First you should go to your doctor and make sure you're not experiencing something more than "busy Mom syndrome".

Then check out healthy options to gaining weight, not just foods loaded with fat and calories. You don't need heart disease etc down the line.

Check out hemp hearts. They are quite caloric, but they are a fantastic source of omega (healthy heart) fats, and protein. They're very tasty, like a mildly flavoured walnut, without the dry bitter edge of walnut. They're great on yogurt, in smoothies, on salads, in cereal. I add them to home made olive oil/vinegar salad dressing to thicken it and give my family all the omega fat they need for the day.

Toss a tablespoon or two in this and that through the day and your body will gain using the best building blocks you can add to a busy Mom's eat on the run lifestyle.

They are great for either weight gain if added to a regular diet. They can also aid in weight control or loss if added to a restricted diet. They're very satiating.

I add them to my kids cereal and yogurt, so I'm sure they're getting a lot of the essential dietary requirements they don't always get when they're finicky. My son was a bit underweight on his check up before last. Just adding the hemp hearts brought him up to an average weight; but I know it's great for him, because it came up in muscle, not larding on unhealthy fat.
