Don't stress. Pap smears are nothing to worry about. You may feel a little pressure down there, but it's not painful. If you feel uncomfortable, talk with your doctor prior to the start. He/she will tell you what to expect.

Well the worst part of it is that it is very uncomfortable having someone look inside you. But they will insert this thing inside u & spread u open & make sure nothing is wrong with your cervix.
Its really no big deal...once you get past being nervous, it doesnt hurt at all. Doesnt even take but a minute.
Nothing to be afraid of, and nothing to be embarrased about.
To the doctor,it is just another part of the body that needs to be examined.
I still get nervous every time I get one but I promise it isn't that bad. It takes just a few minutes and it is over. So for just a couple of minutes it is well worth the benefits of having it done.
Don't be scarred. Having a smear is important, if you are having sex. It does not actually hurt, although it is a bit uncomfortable, just remember it could save your life.
