Sit on the toilet. When you push the tampon in, point it towards the back of your vagina. Look at the box, they usually have pretty good intructions.

There should be instructions in the tampon box.

same problem! i asked the ame question on here a little while ago if you want to look at the answers to that

just stick it up yur vagina

there should be an insert in the box... that wall that your talkin about might be your cervix... you dont want it goin past it.

yea, theres instructions, or...ask your mother...
yea its gonna feel weird :/ im gonna have to do the same thing someday soon, im gonna get sick of pads!
there, hope something helps

No one can really tell you how to do that on here, but if you are not sure how to put in a tampon, it comes with directions inside the box. And as for word of reference, you can't push a tampon past any " wall." It is impossible.

WHO EVER IS GIVING THE THUMBS DOWN,.. YOU REALLY NEED TO GROW UP!!

follow the directions that they come with. it is easier if you put water on the aplicator so it slids more easily...wierd i know but it works

There should be some instructions in the box of tampons you have. They provide diagrams that are helpful!

If your flow isn't very heavy, use a ligh-flow tampon (I'm sure you know that already).

Angle the tampon so that it is going up into your vagina, but angle it slightly toward your back. The place you are trying to get your tampon into does not go straight up; it is slightly toward your back.

Do a google image search for the female reproductive system, more specifically, the vaginal canal. There should be some medical images/diagrams that can help you.

SEE YOUR DOCTOR OR OBGYN

1. READ THE DIRECTIONS
2. ASK YOUR MOTHER
3. ASK SCHOOL NURSE
4. ASK TRUSTED FEMALE FAMILY MEMBER

well like evry one else says there instructions on the box
NEVER PUT IN A TAMPON IF U DONT HAVE UR PERIOD
u could always search google and they have it all
1. Relax! Try not to worry about inserting the tampon right the first time. If you are tense it will make insertion harder.
2. The best time to practice inserting a tampon is during the heavy part of your period. The tampon should glide inside your vagina easily without any discomfort.
3. Decide if you prefer to insert the tampon standing or sitting. If sitting is your preference, sit on the toilet. If you want to try standing, putting one foot on the bathtub helps.
4. Hold the tampon applicator in your right hand if you are right-handed, or left if left-handed.
5. Use your thumb and middle finger to hold the bottom of the larger, outer tube.
6. Point the tip of the applicator toward your vagina, facing slightly towards the back. The smaller tube should be pointed away from your body.
7. Use your other hand to open your vagina.
8. Place the tip of the applicator at the opening of your vagina.
9. Gently push the smaller end of the applicator in until it is completely inside the larger outer tube. This pushes the tampon into your vagina and out of the tube.
10. With your thumb and middle finger still on the outer tube, release the smaller tube and let the strings dangle freely.
11. Gently pull the two tubes out together.
12. Dispose of the applicator according to the manufactuer's instructions.
13. When you are ready to remove the tampon, gently pull the withdrawl strings down and forward. The used tampon may be flushed down the toilet.

Tips:

1. Lubricating the rounded end of the tampon with a water-based lubricant such as K-Y Jelly can make insertion easier the first few times. Don't use petroleum jelly.
2. Always read the manufactuer's instructions throughly before using any type of tampon.
3. If the tampon feels uncomfortable it is probably not inserted far enough into your vagina. Try again with a new tampon.

you stick it in until that lil barb on the end can,t come out......oh i,m sorry that,s a harpoon...old age is a mug!

I finally figured it out, when I was almost 40! I must have tried a MILLION times, before then. I know exactly what you're feeling! # 1 ~ Use OB Tampons! # 2 ~ Buy a TEEN or SMALL Size to TRY # 3 ~ You HAVE TO BE bleeding, not light, to insert them (so they are comfortable). I promise you, if you find the RIGHT SIZE for you, and you don't put them in when you are barely bleeding, you will LOVE THEM!!! You'll forget you have your period. So Keep Trying! GOOD LUCK!!!

Had simular and the wall you seem to be talking of is probably the muscle inside the vagina that you are feeling. The best way to resolve it is to relax aas much as possible when inserting it and go around the muscle, if it were the cervix believe me you would know it!

well you unwrap it...and you cant be nervous...relax and then you hold the grip part and put it up until you touch your self...you push it up and pull out the aplicator. it should be in by then. If not then you can try again and put it in farther. If its in too far then youll leak...so always tug a LITTLE on the string when youre done.

good luck

1.i recomend Tampax ? Compak ?
The Tampax ? Compak ? tampon is contained inside the plastic applicator, which is made of 2 tubes, one fitting inside the other. You need to extend it to its full size prior to insertion of the tampon.
2.The first thing to do is wash your hands. To open the wrapper, tear off the top.
3.Remove the tampon from the wrapper and hold it with the cord hanging down.
4.Pull the inner tube out till you feel it comes to a stop at the bottom of the outer tube. You are now ready to insert the tampon.
5.Get yourself into one of the following positions, whichever feels the best for you: sit on the loo with your knees wide apart or stand with your knees bent and legs apart, or stand with one leg on the toilet. If you are worried your muscles tense up. So RELAX by taking a few deep breaths.
6.Find the grooved rings at the bottom of the outer tube. Use your thumb and middle finger to hold the applicator firmly on these rings. The removal cord should be hanging down from the inner tube and facing away from your body. Use your other hand to fold back the skin that covers the opening of your vagina. Place the rounded tip of the tampon to your vaginal opening. Point the tip towards your lower back.
7. Remember your vagina slopes towards the bottom of your back, not straight up. Take a few breaths and then gently push the applicator in the vagina. As soon your fingers touch your body, the applicator is in the right place. If the applicator doesn't slide in easily, gently rotate it or move it to the right or left as you push.
8.Keep hold of the applicator tube. With your index finger, push the smaller tube all the way into the bigger tube (make sure you can't push further). One tube is now inside the other.
9.Carefully remove the 2 tubes. The tampon should now be comfort-ably inside you, with the removal cord hanging outside your body
10. To dispose of the plastic applicator, use the wrapper as a disposable bag. Do not flush it as it is made of plastic.

When you are ready to REMOVE the tampon, relax and pull the removal cord downwards at the same angle as you used to insert the tampon. The tampon is biodegradable and can be flushed down the toilet or alternatively wrapped in paper and placed in the litter bin.
basically thats it and i read this bfore using tampons it helped me use them on my first period

Well I wear tampons. I had the same problem as you. These are some easy way to put a tampon in:

1) Lay on you back with your knees up (as you would do a crunch). Make sure all of your muscles are relaxed then insert the tampon (I prefer the on in the plastic applicator easier to slide in.) push it up as far as you can then release the tampon.

2) Stand up straight with one foot on the bed or end of the shower. Insert the tampon as far as it will go. make sure all of your muscles are relaxed.

3) Sit on the toilet with you legs spread wide (as if you were using the bathroom) that is a natural way for your muscles to relax. Insert the tampon that way.

**If you try one of those ways and you feel pain then your body is tense remove tamp and try it again. **

Always super or super plus tampons. I like Kotex because the applicator is wider and easier to insert.
