Doctors? Will u get treated better if u go private?!

Question: My doctors are crap. I have suffered with a problem for years they finally sent me for an exam and they didnt have any of my swabs, tests or operations on file, the doctor didnt have a clue about me. she kept ticking things off saying I werent suffering from them when I was! as thats the reason why I was there!

I know I could change doctors but then its going through everything again when they could just be the same.

So private since your paying do they treat you better or no?

You might get better treatment privately; the one certain thing is that the NHS will treat you badly. The standard NHS attitude is that doctors and nurses are the ones who count; the patients must wait their turn and be damned well grateful for what they get.

Privately, you still take your chance; you can't easily check out the doctor's skills before committing yourself. But at least you'll be treated like a customer, not a scabby beggar off the street. That has got to be a step forward.

Come to my house and I will check you out.

In my experience yes. Its amazing the difference in treatment when they are being paid private.

I choose the NHS as I have always been treated quickly and with dignity and respect by NHS staff and doctors and have had absolutely no problems with my diagnoses treatments whatever I have been to the doctor or the hospital for, whether it has been a broken wrist or a dose of crypto sporidium. You may get treated faster because less people in the UK have private health care than NHS care but remember this, private health companies are in it for the 1000s of pounds they get because they are businesses, the NHS is there to provide treatment for everyone no matter how much money they have.
I would pick the NHS over private any day.
If I were you, I'd change doctors. Although it will be a bit of an inconvenience it will work out better in the long run.

I have never heard of a private doctor but have payed to see a consultant privately because my son needed an urgent brain scan and there was a 6 month wait so i went private at a cost of
