it might be the first time a bit if your hymen is intact but there is no 'right' way to do it - its about exploring yourself just go for it, you might bleed a little bit the first time but dont worry. jsut play with yourself and see what feels nice - its nothing to be ashamed of. remember to have clean hands and cut your finger nails or you could get infections or get scratched - and that does hurt

No. Shouldn't be painful. Don't do it if you dont want to.

No, it isn't... penetration should not be part of it.

Just do what feels right. It should not be painful at all.

It should be pleasurable, not painful. Do it only if you are comfortable with the idea.

Nope, not painful at all, quite the opposite actually.

masturbation is a perfectly natural thing for both boys and girls. you have to feel comfortable with yourself otherwise it will not give you pleasure.use a hand held mirror and get used to your own anatomy in the privacy of the bathroom or your bedroom.once you have got used to the way you look and feel things should be more natural for you.use Small circular movements with the tips of your fingers over and around your clitoris.when you experience an orgasm for the first time you will be relaxed with your own body.

there are many ways to masturbate. i hump on a pillow, and there is no pain at all. somehow, i dunno why though i wish to, i cant masturbate with my fingers.
fingering isnt painful for me. it doesnt really work, but after removing my fingers, then the pleassure come in.
it varies from person to person. what i mention above might not apply to you.

Below is a good educational article I use a lot around here when I see this sort of question. I know every answer in life leads to 20 more questions, and this will help.

Don't be embarrassed about having to ask. NONE of this stuff is obvious, we all had to find out some time.

I hope this helps?
