If you have the old OHIP cards do you have to get the new one?!


Question: You should get the new ones. (picture ones) Not only will it help to prevent possible fraud, but it will give you one more piece of picture ID to use for many things. If you do not respond to the letters OHIP sends to you, they may begin to question if you are in Ontario to be eligible for coverage. Also, if they send out a letter to you and the address on file isnt current and the letter is sent back...your card will not be any good.
