It will ruin your underwear if you don't wear pantiliners. Personally, I always get this type of discharge, and many women do, and it has nothing to do with your period usually. Wear pantiliners (they're smaller than maxipads) to protect your underwear, and also because that way when you get your period, you have some protection if you're not anticipating it.

It could mean you have a yeast infection which you should get checked out.

Your body goes through differences in preparation for ovulation and fertilization of the egg. Generally clear, then milky and then more thick (which helps the sperm travel into the uterus). It's normal and should not hurt your panties. If it makes you uncomfy, then wear a liner!

it could just be ovulation which is just before your period

wear a panty liner just in case but it will not ruin your underwear

I got the whiteish/clearish discharge about a year before my periods started ... at one point it got so heavy I did wear pantiliners, but it didn't really ruin my underwear to be honest.

It could just be ovulation, cos I get quite a lot of discharge when I ovulate.

xXx
