Help! Pre-cancerous cells treatment and womens troubles! Women only please!?!

Question: I'm 25 and when i was 19/20 I had pre-cancerous cells successfully lasered from my cervix after abnormal smears. My smears are all normal now but ever since I had that procedure my period (which is always regular and on time to the day !) only lasts 2 days. Do you think the procedure damaged my uterus? Also ever since I am plagued with constant thrush which doctors tell me they cant find a reason for and its just me. I really want to be able to have children one day -help! Thanks Katie x

my best friend had the same thing.. and now she has a 9mo old baby girl.. i think you will be fine and about your period every one is diffrent

Whoa, calm down. I had exactly the same treatment and all was fine. If you're concerned about period time and regularity, talk to your doctor. I had regular checks after mine and was able to ask about all these things.............

I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that, and at such a young age too.

Luckily they caught it in time, and its great to hear that everything has gone back to normal for you.

If you are worried about your periods only lasting two days, then I would go and have a chat with your Doctor. I'm sure he will put your mind at rest and assure you everything is fine.

Please don't worry.x

Im sorry to invade your women only question, however my ex had exactly the same procedure around the same age, she now has a lovely little girl and is expecting another.

I would not worry, however what I will say, and I am sure I am stating the obvious is... IF you are on the pill, this may be entirely normal depending on the product you take.
