Why is my period always brown, instead of red?!
Question: Okay, for the past 3 months my period has been brown, instead of red. I'm 23 years old and yes I know that before and after your periods are supposed to be brown because your body is cleaning out the old blood. But my cycles always seem to be recently brown and I have no idea why. Does anyone have any idea or a website that i can go to, to tell me whats going on with it?

I just came from the gyn ( a few hours ago) and I asked her about that and she said that it was normal. if it is not accomapnied with any other irregularties then I wouldn not be to worried about it.
U r totally fine! It's normal! Just like you said.
brown blood means its dead blood.
so its just taking longer to leave your body than it used to.
maybe your flow is lighter, like... its not red cause there is not a huge amount that has to gush out?
our bodies are constantly changing.
i would still say this is normal. :)
just leave it alone.. its proBally just the way your Blood flows just leave it
I am 40 and I have the same problem. It is light that I just need a pantiliner but like you said it is brown with no red blood. It has been like that for a whole week. I think I am perimenopausel but that can't be the case for you.
