Do i start birth control the first day of my period or the sunday after?!
Question: i haven't been on it in a few years, and my dr. just prescribed me to yaz. he told me to take it the first day of my next period. i asked him if i could start it the sunday after, and he said yes but he'd prefer the first day of my pd. the problem is, i can't get it until this friday because i get paid. i got my period on monday, so obviously i have to take it either this sunday or my next period. i need it in my system by next month since my boyfriend is coming home! will it be okay if i take it this sunday?

Yeah go ahead and start on Sunday. I'm a Sunday starter on Yaz and everything is fine. Have fun with your bf =)
i always hears the sunday after ur period, so i am sure u will be fine
i just started the same thing like 3 weeks ago i just had my first period i spotted yesterday (monday) and now im full on so basically on monday you start yea and its ok to do it the sunday after cuz it gives you the 3 weeks inbetween i had mine then went to the doctor and started it the next sunday.so i think you should be ok :~)
the day starts on sunday and even if start on sunday u take that day.that's how package is marked always sunday. unless on depro vera and only need IM injection every 6 months.
You should read the instructions inside the packet and it will tell you when to start it. From memory, when I first started on it, you take the first active pill on the first day of your period.
