I think I have a cyst in my breast?!

Question: I'm not sure though.

Does anyone know how I can tell for sure whether its one or not, without going to the doctor?
I've had it for like,i don't know 5-6 months. it feels like it gets bigger whenever my breast get larger.
Is this normal?
I don't fully know what a cyst is.
It really just feel like a large large lump in each breast.
One of the lumps is smaller and thats the smaller breast.

This is totally embarrassing, but I don't care. Really if your going to be sarcastic and rude leave now.

To everyone else-thanks in advance. :)

In answer to this question, no, it doesn't necessarily mean a teenager has breast cancer if she/he has a lump in each breast! You don't have to have a lump to have breast cancer. If there is a lump, it could be a cyst and for teens all breast examinations, feeling for changes and LOOKING for changes should be done after menstruation. If the lump remains after menstruation she/he should be seen by a doctor. There are many people who have fibrocystic breasts. To make sure this is a cyst, the doctor can perform a needle biopsy which is non-invasive.

cancer doesnt hurt ..so if it doesnt hurt go to the doc immediately. Thats why people die from cancer .they dont go until there is actual pain then its too late. Chances are its just an estrogen overload if it happens once a month..and that is just normal for you..and me

You really can't tell for sure without seeing a Doctor. I have cystic breasts, which my Doctor told me would get worse with drinking a lot of caffeine. Cysts will get bigger when you have your period, it's the hormones, that's normal. Cysts don't usually hurt, so you can't be sure it's not cancer from that . But please see a doctor Good for you for doing self exams!

I know it is embarassing, but you really really need to have it checked out by a doctor. Young people can and do get breast cancer, its unlikely but it happens. Like I said, its unlikely, but if it was cancer, waiting to see a doctor can be deadly. Only a doctor can tell you if it is a cyst or not.
