Is it true that putting yogurt in your vagina will cure or prevent a yeast infec!

Question: An old remedy, very popular back in the days, when people didn't have many options... It has been proven effective, especially in women who have no access to pharmacies (in our country there villages where people have very poor health info access). It is not often recommended, since inserting a cotton pad soaked in yogurt can raise the question of hygiene maintenance.
Anyhow, a vaginal antimoniliatic (medicine against yeast infection) should be enough to take care of the problem.
If it persists, a combination of oral antimoniliatics and vaginal tablets should be considered.
If the combination doesn't work, a stronger vaginal therapy (containing both an antimoniliatic and an antibiotic - such as Polygynax), together with a vaginal cream and oral treatment are advised.
Whichever the treatment of choice, it needs to be done after a thorough exam. Treating persistent fungal infection needs to be done under medical supervision (a gynecologist) and needs frequent microbiological testing.

I think not, because if this is the cure all, there would be no need for all that other stuff out on the market.

LOL NO

No, this wont heal a yeast infection. Yogurt that is not flavoured can ve used to clean the vagina, but it cannot cure a yeast infection. It just cleans.

No, but it can be fun to lick out!

No it wont cure or prevent, It can however relieve your condition somewhat until you seek medical advice. i have used this method many times, due to financial hardship and trust me it works. I do advise from experience that as soon as you start to feel 'uncomfortable' go buy some yoghurt and use it. Its messy but the relief outweighs the annoyance. i would soak a tampon in yoghurt and insert, extracting the tampon. A godsend for the areas you cannot reach.

although it is a handy single serving size container...and "Yogurt with fruit in the bottom" does sound like a recommedation..... I would not recommend putting it directly into your vagina.... or the fruit in your bottom.
You could Eat the yogurt out of the actual yogurt container and the live enzimes will enter your body that way... just sayin'

no honey, itll just cool down that burning sensation, it doesnt prevent atall even rubbing garlic garlic wont help especially when they dug in already, and we have creams for that, best preventive measure is safe sex and choose your partner well and do it with the lights open so you can see if he has rashes or if his circuumcised or he cleaned his penis or scaling in it, best is that you dont experiment with your vagina, consult with your obgyn, theyre professionals.

Eating ORGANIC yogurt on a regular basis will keep you from getting yeast infections. It would help minimize the symptoms if you already have one. I don't know if I would put it directly on the affected area though......

Hahahaha!

Nooooooo!!!!!
