Sorry, could you just clarify whether you have had regular bleeds in between starting your periods when you were 11 and now?

Some other thoughts. Have you been dieting? This can temporarily stop your periods if you have lost a lot of weight.

Have you had sex? There is then the possibility that you might be pregnant (sorry to ask this one - I don't know you or anything about you so I hope the question doesn't upset/offend you.

Do you have any other 'symptoms' - have you learnt to recognise the signs when your period is due (headaches, sore breasts, tummy ache, outbreak of spots, bad temper) - anything at all?

Periods can sometimes just be late for no reason than they just are. Sometimes if you are stressed or upset about something then they can be late for that reason.

Your cycle may vary from a regular 28 days, to 35 or even 42 days (and anything in between too!) so I would think that there is nothing to worry about really. So have a think about the above questions and whether you have been under any stress lately, and maybe one of those is your answer.

I hope that there is nothing for you to worry about. But if you are still concerned can you talk to your Mum, Aunt, a teacher? I know it can be embarassing to talk to someone about these things, but if you are worried then you need to be brave talk through things with someone who can reassure or help you.

Good luck.

It could be late from stress or since you have only been on your period for about 2 years it might still be regulating so it could be late or early until it establishes a regular cycle.
Also if you have been sexually active you could be pregnant, if that is the case take a pregnancy test.

Ok I'm going to guess your not pregnant... besides that there are many reasons you could have a late period. Any changes in your lifestyle can disrupt your cycle. Stress is also a major factor. Whatever it is I'm sure it is normal and you have nothing to worry about.

So if I understand properly, you started your period when you were 11 and have been getting regularly for two years.
Well the most common cause of missing a period is pregnancy. Are you sexually active, do you use protection? Have you tried a pregnancy test? If pregnancy is not the issue, there a list of things that can cause your period to stop. It might be irregular for one. Are you dieting or maybe exercising a lot? If this is not the case either then it could be you have a gynae problem, and should go see a doctor, as there are some conditions which can cause your period to stop.

take a test then ask the ? again.
