Leep surgery?!
Question: I posted yeaterday asking anyone who had ever had leep surgery if they were put under local or general anesthetics.
Alot of people said they had local, well I talked to my Obgyn nurse today and she told me I would be put under general anesthetics! She said they dont put their patients thru that with local. So now my question is has anyone ever had general anesthetics with the leep surgery? Then if so how long did you have to wait after surgety in recovery to go home?

My 26 yr old daughter just had it done yesterday. The anesthesiologist asked her what kind of anesthetic she wanted. He recommended the local, so that's what she went with. They put an IV in her hand with some medication, and she thinks some freezing. She swears she was awake the whole time, but the nurse said she nodded off for about 10 minutes.
It only took about 10-15 minutes. When it was done, she got dressed and went home. She says it wasn't bad at all. I know she was scared, but she basically told me it was no big deal.
Today she went to work, and felt fine. She said she has some ugly brown discharge, but that's it.
No sex for 4 weeks, and no baths or hot tubs for afew weeks. No tampons. Showering is fine.

I was awake during mine, wasnt that bad, I walked out of the drs office right after, i put a pantyliner on and went on about my day!!
