Can excessive sex cause a yeast infection?!

Question: I had a GREAT weekend with this wonderful man I just started dating...now I'm all itchy. This seems to happen to me every time I go a long time without sex, then break the fast with a guy who...has a lot of stamina! How do I prevent this from happening again?

It could be a yeast infection. The vagina depends on a delicate balance of natural flora. When this gets interrupted, as happens when you have a lot of sex, yeast can grow rapidly. Hello yeast infection!

Make sure you are using water-based lubricants (if you use them) as petroleum-based lubricants can contribute to a yeast infection. Make sure to clean and dry your vaginal area after sex, as a moist environment contributes to growth of yeast. It may help to eat yogurt with live cultures of lactobacilius acidophilus.

Whatever you do, don't douche. This can actually cause a yeast infection by washing away the bacteria that keep yeast from growing rapidly.

You can get yeast infections and bladder infections too from A LOT of sex...you could also be slightly allergic to the latex.

If you're on the pill, you can be prone to yeast infections.

iin that case, you should have sex everytime.

um....id say you have a more chance of having an std than a yeast infection....yeast infections are usually caused by your body producing too much yeast...they don't only happen in the area youre talking about...they can happen under armpits and other areas so i doubt that's what you have ....get that checked out soon so you can get treatment.

Could be the latex...that stuff is no bueno! or even the spermicide on the condom but then you might need more lube...depends on the situation....answer this gross question...burning itch? or just itch? just itch that persists go to drug store and buy Monistat burning like bad burning go see Dr.

Are you using protection? I don't think the amount of sex has anything to do with it. Just remember to be safe, no glove no love. There are so many things you can catch out there, you have to protect yourself, no one else is going to do it.

i agree with raerae and yes it can cause utis and yeast infections :)
hehe

Hi,

Excessive sex do not cause any problem. No STD and other problems. Pl. use condom

I'm not sure what to tell you. All I know is that excessive sex can cause AIDS or Warts. I would personally go see a doctor about that.
