Carey - even though you haven't started your period yet you may want to start wearing a pantyliner or light day pad. If it really bugs you tell your mom and ask her to take you to the doctor. I have never heard of anyone so young having such a heavy discharge, but everyone is different.

P.S. according to Masters and Johnson women lube (discharge) about once every ninety minutes (24/7) during their reproductive years.

dont worry, it happened to me. try wearing pantyliner, it makes u feel cleaner.
hope i helped :]

it happens to every woman. i mean i dont know if all women have such a heavy discharge, but i know i do and i got my first period a long time ago. its normal. you start having a discharge right before your period first comes.

It's normal. But it could also be a sign of a yeast infection or a bladder infection. They're easily treated, just see your doctor.

You really should go to the doctor to get yourself checked out.Several things could be going on with your body.Get to the doctor as soon as possible o.k.

It's cervical mucus. You're suppose to have it. It's actually designed to help sperm survive as long as possible in the vagina, so you can still get pregnant from sex as far away from ovulation as possible.

Most moms would rather not tell their daughters that so they say it's the vagina cleaning itself, but the discharge of the vagina cleaning itself it the discharge from an infection and consequently almost no girls know the difference between cervical mucus and infection discharge.

It's annoying and normal. You need to tell your mom exactly why you want pantyliners or buy them yourself.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you never want it to go away.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
