Bloating is a symptom of PMS. Some easy ways to curve bloating include taking an OTC diuretic (to make you pee more), take a vitamin B supplement, and/or you can simply try cutting back on salt/salty foods a week before you menstruate. Salt helps to retain fluids.

Yeah... It's water weight gain.

not THAT big of a belly but bloating almost always occurs right before and/or during the first few days of their period. bloating is less once the blood flows regularly and once there is little blood at the end of hte cycle.

Don't know about most, not done a survey. I do get bloated and have backpain too. This doesn't happen every month.

Bloating is a common symptom for many women during their period or right before it starts.

I get the bloating too. But when i have my period i eat bananas. It helps get the tummy down.

it depends if it is ur first then its all right but it if it not there is somthing wrong like if you MIGHT b pregnant or somthing bit you in ur belly or like a mosqito ! might be . good luck..!.!

Bloating during your period, is totally normal.

i've gained up to 10 pounds in water weight that I shed during that week so I gues I was a bit bloated.

Well, it actually kind of depends. Some girls do and some don't. Mine doesn't. But, i do recommend that you go see the doctor about it and inform them. And( of course), go tell your MOM about it. Maybe she will know what is happening.

It mainly depends on how thin and how old you are. If you are just now hitting puberty, you are pretty thin, and this has never happened before, it's likely that this is normal, however if you are not very young, this has never happened before, and you have had unprotected sex within the last month or so, and your period seems late, you may want to get a pregnancy test.
