This is one of the hardest things to do! If she's a good friend, take her aside and tell her you're really worried about hurting her feelings or offending her, and you don't want to do that, but you're worried about her health because you've noticed this and you want to make sure she's aware that unusual body odors can be a sign of illness sometimes. Tell her you're worried about her and ask if there's anything you can do to help.

don't. Just spray her with stuff that doesn't smell so bad when she isn't looking. If she smells so bad she probobly doesn't notice, so she won't notice the good smell on her either.

Be sincere about it and don't be hurtful. Tell her that you love her and you were concerned. If it is an underarm odor tell her about clinical strength secret, tell her that when you get your period you stink bad and found that this stuff works well, make something up if you have too so she doesn't feel so bad. If it a feminine smell or a pee smell maybe advise her of scented pantie liners and of feminine soaps (she just may not be washing properly too) again let her know of a problem you have that you found a remedy to that she seems to have the same problems that you do... If it is bad breath offer her gum (long lasting). If I stunk I would want a friend to tell me. Yeah I would be embarrassed however I much rather be embarrassed that a friend told me nicely then some stranger making a vulgar remark.

Heres what you do if its a guy, throw him a speed stick and say YOU STINK WEAR IT.
For a women oh boy, what I would do go out on a girl outing to the mall go around and shop go to the perfume area and mozy around on purpose and if she like anything BUY IT FOR HER.
So your not saying you smell and its Valentines so you have 2 things that she cant say anything about.

You should pick out a perfume that you like, that smells clean and sports like, and give it to her as a gift!

Point to your eye
point to your temple (side of head)
point to person
pinch your nose

This is what my 5 year old does to my 3 year old....I did it as a kid and its very effective... I do it to my hubby.... When you can't find the right words.....

OK here's what I did, I gave this friend of mine who I had the exact same situation with a gift basket of toiletries and she LOVED it. It did take a little time for her to get the idea but it did work.
Also if you're close friends, she'll appreciate it no woman wants to stink! Sometimes if somebody has allergies they can't smell themselves. Like one of the others said be sincere & let her know you're concerned, because it can be a sign of a health problem.

it may be due to medication she takes.
if that the case there nothing she can do.

or it may be due to a abnormal sense of smell that you have.

Medical tests at Imperial College in London has shown that some people with body odor have imbalances affecting the 'friendly bacteria' which live inside all of our digestive systems. If these vital micro-organisms are unbalanced through use of medication (antibiotics and steroids in particular) or a high fat, high sugar, high red-meat, low fiber diet the vital role they play in detoxification of the bowel and in manufacturing important nutrients is impaired and this can lead to aggravation of Body Odor, as well as to numerous other health problems.3

B.O. is sometimes associated with specific health problems including liver dysfunction, diabetes, digestive problems (parasites etc) and yeast infections and these conditions require professional attention and advice.

i had a doctor thinking i was a alcoholic because he could smell beer on me.
after a few times in his office the doctor ask how much beer i drank a day when i told him i did not drink at first he did not believe me then he did a test and found a yeast infection in my mouth caused by a rare autoimmune disease i have.

he later said that other doctors had noted on my chart that i was a heavy drinker because they could smell the beer smell.
