Is it normal to pass small traces of blood when...?!

Question: When ovulating? I have all the period symptoms but no blood just tiny traces of blood. What does this mean? Is the ovulation or period? My last one started around the 23rd.

If the traces of blood have alot of mucus it is ovulation. Just blood alone maybe some breakthrough bleeding. Are you using any type of birth control that could cause breakthrough bleeding? It may be the start of your period too, lighter since it is less then a month since your last period. Have you had unprotected sex about 5 to 10 days ago? If so it could be implantion in you uterus (pregnancy).

There are many things to take into considerations when dealing with menstrual cycles. If you are currently taking birth control this can cause your menstrual cycle to become light or even none existent. Working out profusely can also cause light or no menstrual cycle. Depending on your age as well. If you have had your menstrual cycle for less than a year it can be very irregular, however, you should still see a doctor if this continues.

I started taking birth control a couple of months ago and it has made my periods go from heavy to almost nonexistent at times. If you are not taking birth control it could be your period you are just irregular, nothing wrong with that all women experience some irregularity. I had times when I would miss 2 periods and have 3 in one month it just depends. Also some women have periods where they don't bleed out. Everyone is made differently but if it continues you should make an appointment with your gynecologist and see what is going on in there.
Hope everything is ok!
