Awww. Give your poor friend a hug. Her brother was awesome and it's good that you're there for your friend. I would go over and talk to her brother. You should tell him not to make any jokes or anything and he probably won't as he is an adult. I'm sure he understands how embarrassing the whole situation is. Also, tell your friend that everyone at school will totally forget about the whole situation. People in middle school are too worried about themselves and their identity to remember this whole incident.

The whole thing will blow over in no time.

She's not the first and she won't be the last to have that happen.

It was really awesome that her brother came to her rescue.

Girls these days are embarresed aobut their periods. There's nothing to be ashamed of...It means your a woman

Tell ur friend that it's a part of life.Everyone gets it and people know sometimes. This happened to me once and I was embarrased but I got over it because it eventually happens to everyone.Tell her at least it didn't happen when she was on a date.Make her laugh about it XD

As embarrassed as your friend might be today, everyone will forget about it after no time at all. If anyone even tries to say anything about it, they are a very cruel person. Everyone has had something happen to them at some point that they are totally mortified about. Believe me, I'm 30 now and although I can remember embarrassing stuff like that when I thought I couldn't face anyone at school. No one remembers that stuff now. Keep your chins up and don't let anyone bring you down!

having your period is the way of life you have to think about that her brother and gym teacher aren't going to make fun of her or talk to her about it thats just how that kind of thing goes it will be like it never happened in fact shell forget all about it

lol..... awwww..... that was a rough day for her.

I know it's SOOO embarrassing when you're young. When you get to be my age (27) it's nothing!

Regarding her brother, at age 28, I guarantee you that he's probably bought pads and tampons for a girlfriend plenty of times and thought nothing of it.

The gym teacher, most likely even older, has done the same and will not even regard the incident as anything memorable or embarrassing.

All of us girls have been through an awkward period moment once or twice in our lives. Sure it's embarrassing, but it passes much more quickly than you'd think.

Tell your friend to just pretend it never happened and so will everyone else.

If any of the kids tease her at school (only young immature ones would do this) tell her to shrug it off and act like it was absolutely no big deal, and to tell them they are acting like 5 year olds.

If she only knew, us 'old timers' will complain to anyone who will listen about our period!!

I don't know what to tell you except that just about every female gets her period, sorry that hers decided to make its' grand entrance during gym class. It's not something I think the kids will want to shout about in the halls.

I can only offer this, and it is a true story, I promise.

I had a friend who bawling her eyes out one day and I thought someone had died. No, she was in gym class and the teacher had assigned partners for sit ups, so here was this hot guy holding her feet. As she sat up, she farted really loud and apparently, the guy was a real asshole about it, rather than just ignoring it. She ended up running out of the gym, etc.

I wish your friend the best of luck.

Explain To Her That If Her Brother Was Awesome Enough to Bug Her Supplies... He Won't Tell Anyone...

And Teachers? They ALL Understand! Trust Me.
And About The Students in the Class... It'll Blow over. It might be spoken about until tomorrow... but nobody will remember by monday!!

If She Doesnt go to school tomorow.. she might just be teased more. But if she DOES Go... They will all know that she is VERY brave.

Cootose To Her, And her Brother!!!
God Bless.

maybe she can take tomorrow off of school to kinda let things blow over. her brother more than likely understands a little bit of what she is going through since he has a girlfriend. just remind her that it's okay and perfectly normal and natural. she should keep a pair of black gym pants at school also so she is more prepared the next time she gets her period, that way she can avoid anymore embarassing moments. if your mom is home or you have an older sister, maybe she could try talking to one of them about it. good luck to your friend.

Trust me, it is really not a big deal. Your teachers (and her 28-year-old brother) are mature enough to handle it. They HONESTLY DON'T CARE.

Show her this:

HEY GIRL!

Nothing to be embarrassed about! It means you are on your way to womanhood! Be proud that you have guy friends that care enough for you to tell you the truth.

You sound like an exceptional athlete! I usually use OB tampons (hate pads - who wants to walk around with that between your legs? yuck) - OR- I know this disgusts certain folks-- take some T.P. (flushable) and stuff it up into your Hoo-Ha. Remove when it becomes damp.

this happened to a girl in my school to. Its really up to her.
