No period.. neg. pregnancy test..pill to start period..?!

Question: I have 3 children and my most recent child is 9 months old... i havent had a normal period in quite awhile.. they have been REAL irregular since i had my son and i actually got pregnant with him when i did not have a period..so i thought i couldv been pregnant again but i have taken 2 urine pregnancy tests and 1 blood test all were negative and now after i talked to my doctor she has mentioned giving me pills to start my period and i know nothing about it... Are you more likely to get pregnant (does not matter if it would happen)? Could you be more likely to have multiples?...I have no knowledge of this particular drug... If anyone can help it would be great...any web sites.... anything...thanks..

If you are talking about provera or progesterone, this makes you build up the lining of your uterus in order to make you have a period. It does not increase chance of pregnancy or multiples. It just induces a period. You would then want to be cautious after your period in order to prevent pregnancy or you could start birth control pills after inducing the period.
