Can birth contol pills cause diarrhea?!

Question: The second week I was ever on it, I got some diarrhea, but Id also eaten a curry the night before.
Anyway, I havnt had any since, and that was 2 months ago. But I have to switch birth control brands, could it cause diarrhea? (I have a massive phobia of sick and diarrhea) Or was it caused last time by the curry?
