How does one get an urinary infection?!


Question: I have been told that something I have been doing sexually can cause an urinary infection I am wondering if it really can? And if it can what are the chances.

I am sorry, at age 17 why are you having anal and letting your BF urinate on you?!?!?! Kinda degrading if you ask me. You have alot more to worry about then a UTI... Probably a bad idea not to set standards or yourself. I though I had heard of everything, this my dear takes the cake.

did you have anal sex? Or was the guy not very cleanly?

If fecal matter gets introduced to your vaginal opening...then a Urinary Tract Infection would occur.

Also, after you pee or poo....wipe from the front to back.

By eating greasy food.... It turns into acid and then makes ur urine infect you.

Sex, in general, can cause UTIs. Always pee as soon as possible after sex! Other causes can be too much sugar, caffeine, and many other things. Try taking cranberry supplements daily, or drinking cranberry juice (not cocktail) with as little sugar as possible. I would also see a dr. about getting blood tests. Frequent UTIs can be a sign of diabetes.
