Question about missing birth control pills and unprotected sex???!
Question: Ok well like three times this week i forgot to take my pill i have only been on ortho tri cyclen for 3 months
i take my bc at night but three nights i forgot and took it in the morning instead not 3 nights in a row
like sat, mon, wed i forgot to take them before bed so i took them the next morning so on sun, tue, thur i was taking one pill in the morning and one at night
on valentines i had unprotected sex
do you think i should worry or that im fine???
it says if you miss one pill take it as soon as you remember and you do not need a back up method but im not too sure about this one???

Unless you are on an extremely lose dose birth control pill taking your pill a few hours early or a few hours late should not cause it to be drastically less effective. If you are really worried call your b.c. prescriber and inquire about the morning after pill.

no not to worry.. you can miss up to 3 in a week and still be fine... but don't take them all at once just keep going like normal...but dont make a habit of it.. and keep your birth controll pills on your nite stand so you will see them each nite and wont for get.... or leave yourself a note in block letters on your mirror in your bathroom in lip stick and you wont forget...

I take tri cyclen, the doctor at the clinic said yes, to take it as soon as you remember and to use alternative methods of protection (condoms, whatever) for three days afterwards, I'm not trying to scare you. but you missed those three days, I don't know, do you have any morning after pills you can take? I know that they are effective up to five days after having unprotected sex, If you don't have any go to your local planned parethood or clinic and they are fairily easy to get a hold of. Did he come inside you? That's probablly the biggest concern.
I just recently read a magazine article about getting prego from missing ONE time of taking the pill.
It can happen, and it's very real.
You better be careful. Set an alarm on your phone to remember to take it.
