Umm girls? help here?!
Question: this is my 7th day of my period. its getting lighter but i still have it. im going to a dance tonight and i really dont wanna wear a padd, a tampon would be good, but i dont have any and my mom doesnt want me wearing them, what shudd i dooo ?

Relax. I understand why you don't want to use a pad. Talk to your mom again.. and explain how you feel. If she feels your to young.. i would explain..
you could alway get some from a friend.
I remember for the longest time my mom didn't want me to use a tampon.. she was sacred i would TSS. But now.. she's finally came around..
do what feels comfortable for you.

If it's really light, I wouldn't wear a tampon at all. There won't be enought to absorb into it. Have you tried wearing panty liners? Like I said, I have no idea what "getting lighter" is but if you think it's too light for a pad and you have some at home, you oculd do that :)
buy some in the gas station or in the bath rooms and you know what you might be able to get some from a gf good luck and i agree tampons are WAY better

This is a tough one! I can understand why you wouldn't want to wear a bulky pad. If your period is quite light then you could use a panty liner (a really thin pad). No one would know it was there. Perhaps you should try discussing tampons with your Mum again- they make ones specially desighned for teenage girls. Perhaps you should pop down to your local supermarket and see if they have anything that catches your eye! Enjoy the dance!
Ask a friend for a tampon or two.
It's normal to have your period that long generally mine are about 6-8 days :( but I don't really recommend wearing a tampon if it's your fist time to a dance. My suggestion is not to spread your legs (you should no the type of dancing) and just hang out... And the whole mom thing? Just listen to her she knows what she's talking about... By the way, how did you post this during school hours?
well you cant really stop it so you will have to wear a pad
just wear the panty linner and you should be fine or wear a lite pad i wldnt go all out and where like a pull pad there so uncortfortable
They have "light days" tampons. That really is the only logical solution. Ask your girlfriends or take a trip to Walgreen's , because if you do not, then the dancing along with the sweating and the heat??? Well, I have been to dances before and you always know who is NOT wearing one!!
kotex ultrathin pantiliners. also, i woulnt recommend "going anywhere" *cough cough hotel room* after the dance.
go to a bathroom and get a tampon for a quarter
hey, i recommend that you wear a pad or a thin one. depends wat dancing you are doing? like a school dance or hip-hop dancing. I do dancing too. ballet, jazz and hip-hop. i wouldnt try tampons just yet. x
