Could I have breast cancer at my age?!
Question: a couple of months ago I found a lump on my left breast while doing a self-exam, the spot where I found it has only gotten more tender, and hurts to the touch. I am taking birth control but I found this before I even decided to go on the pill. I have an appointment with my gyn. anyway this coming week so I am going to have her check it out too. In the mean time to put my mind at ease (hopefully) I want some feedback whether good or bad as to what it could be. I am only 18 if that helps anyone with any advice they may have.

Breast cancer knows no age. Although rare for someone your age, it is not unheard of. . Great that you are doing self exams. It could be a cyst, but see your MD and if he/she suggests it, get a mammogram. Keep up the self exams, paps...etc. It's good to see young women being conscious and taking responsibility for their health.
try not to worry love,its very uncommon for someone of your age to get breat cancer,i dont want to comment too much cos im not a doctor,but im sure it will be nothing,probably a cyst cos they are hard and [painful

well you can get cancer at any age. it doesn't sound too good- sorry. you should definatly get it checked out. good luck!
