Periods...tampons?!
Question: i've had my period for a year now and just yesterday i started using tampons. i can get one in fine, its just afterwards it hurts inside...but its in the right way. i just thought that maybe im still not used to wearing them yet...any help?

it should NOT hurt to wear a tampon. Either you tore your hymen(which is ok) and you will be sore for a few days. Or, you do not have it in far enough. Don't be afraid of losing it in there, push it in gently until you have resistance and can't push it any more.
the kind youre using might be too big or it might not be in far enough
when i started using tampons i was scared to put it up far enough, so it hurt me too.
sometimes when you take it out its still "dry", so it might hurt when you take it out. make sure you use the right tampon for whatever flow you're having. thats the problem i had with before.
If you're trying to take them out while they are still dry, then you'll cause yourself some abrasion. If you're bleeding lightly its best to wear a pad/liner or at the very least a light absorbent tampon.
get some K-Y jel for lubrication, you are dry and this will help for the insertion.
Use whatever your comfortable with but you might get used to them. DON'T WORRY
if it was in right you would not feel it at all. I cant use tampons myself, they make my cramps worse. I guess some people just have to use pads, sorry.
look for a tampon that says "slim fits". i can't remember what brand has them, but they felt better for me when i was younger (and a bit smaller).
ok i recomend slim fits, it fits your shape better so it doesnt just feel like a log in there and you need to push it in farther i know its scarey but it will make all the difference. also slim fits doesnt meen littler protection- it just meens better fit they still have regular and super
