Hi dear.....Leaving a tampon in overnight should not cause all this discomfort especially since you left it in 5 days ago!! I know if you wear it all day and leave it in all night sounds grungy, but it should not bother you.

I am under the impression you are over your period now.....no tampon.....and you are itchy and smelly. You may have scratched yourself "raw" which accounts for the burning as well. Is there a discharge?

A "well stocked" medicine cabinet should contain a tube of hydrocortisone ,1 cream. It is a good idea for that cabinet to have a bottle of witch hazel (found near the alcohol and peroxide bottles in the drug store. Witch hazel is an astrigent and is safe for that area. (It's also good to put on your face after you wash to close the pores.)

It may sting a bit since you are so irritated.

Hey.....I know you want a miracle since you cannot go to the doctor, you have no money and no mom. Surely you have an Aunt? Cousin? best girlfriend's mom? At any rate, you need help. The only thing right now tonight, if you do not have the above items is to take a warm bath. Wash with soap and rinse really well. If you have any anti itch powder, or in your kitchen if you have some corn starch to pat on.

Otherwise, you really must go to the drug store and get some yeast infection medicine. The cheaper ones you have to apply nightly for 7 days. They are very good. The more expensive ones are usually one maybe 2 applications. They too, are good......

Can't help you more.....

I am an RN

PS : Blam up there is a bit much. Forget all that special stuff to buy. I doubt you have candidas infection. Just a simple yeast. OK? In the near future, stock your medicine cabinet>

If it smells weird and is itching it sounds like you have a Yeast Infection

holy crapp!!

Vagisil

Check between and see if there is a creamy/dry substance,,,,,

Yeast,,,,

Remember not to leave tampons in too long,,,dangerous

go to the pharmacy and get the monistat 1 day cream and itch cream good luck it's just a yeast infrction see doc if it is not better in a few days

Sounds like either a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. Leaving the tampon in too long might have cause bacteria to thrive.

You need to buy:
Acidophilus capsules
Azo yeast tablets
and avoid eating sugar at all cost, because it feeds the infection.

Don't douche or it will make it worse. And meanwhile you have to tell someone to take you to see a gynecologist. Or go to a local clinic. If your vaginitis is left untreated it can cause long term issues.

It could be a yeast infection. Is there no clinic you can go to that are free. I would see a doctor if at all possible.

You have an infecton and you need to see the doctor sorry
And its nothing to mess around with so you have to go!
There must be a clinic that is around that you can go to its really important. And if you are a student they are not going to charge you much if anything!

get some vagisal to help with the itchiness, try taking a warm bath with some epsom salt. Eat more YOGURT, it has live cultures that help aid in vaginal problems....only wear cotton underwear, and don't wear tight pants. They sell over the counter stuff for yeast infections too.

hope it gets better.

just go to walgreens and buy something for a yeast infection. if "symptoms persist" go to a dr and get something stronger... eating lots of yogurt will help also and she is right - don't eat sugar, that is something that can cause or make a yeast infection to last longer.

You probably have a yeast infection. There are over the counter meds you can get at the drug store. Go see the school nurse for sure if there is no one else for you. She can help you get the meds.
