Bacterial Vaginosis isn't going away after 3 treatments!?!

Question: I went to the gyno because I knew something just "wasn't right." He couldn't see anything (I don't have any discharge), but gave me a culture and found that I had BV. First I was prescribed Clindesse (a one-dose vaginal insert) and I still felt like the infection wasn't cleared up. Then I tried yogurt for a week, and felt the same. Then my doctor prescribed oral Metronidazole and I'm on my 6th day and I still feel "not right." Does this mean it's not working, or could it take a few more days to start working? I'm getting very frustrated! P.S. These pills are horrible - I've been nauseous for a week!

Oh man I feel bad for you. I had that for like 6 months and didn't know what it was. They gave me some pills and they worked. I had to finish the whole course of pills before I saw a difference. Just finish them up and if it doesn't work something else must be wrong.

I'm so glad you're taking care of this properly and following professional advice. It's always so silly when people come on Yahoo!Answers and actually ask for medical advice, like whether or not they should continue a prescription. Good for you for being sensible!
