You will become more aware of what makes you comfortable as time goes on. Everyone does it different. Some change ever 2 hours, some change every 8. Do what makes you feel healthy and clean. I don't think any kinda infection can set up seeing as it is a way to clean your body out once a month. But at least twice a day should be fine if your a light bleeder.

And congrats "woman"!!

i think its supposed to be worn 4-6 hrs

I go with the tampon rule of every 6-8 hours. I figured since it applies to tampons, it should apply to pads too. When you're period is heavier, you may want to change it more often, like when it is really soaked or you're uncomfortable.

Welcome to womenhood!

you should change your pad every 2 -3 hours no matter how light or heavy you are ,,its unhygienic if you don't and you can start to smell and trust me you don't want that. hope this helps .

They say you should change a tampon every 8 hours at the most. I would think that a pad would be the same thing. I would probably change it more than once a day, maybe twice a day.

When it starts to ooze. That would be a good time.

i'd say every 4-6 hours in the natural time a woman SHOULD change their pad in order to eliminate infections and disease.
