As for the vote well it was the 60's and there was more than a sexual revolution. It was the time for change for black and aboriginal people, women and for youth to speak up for the first time.
Well it is a sad part in history but if you have read the papers lately maybe there is a reason. Currently, 68% women vote on looks of the candidates. This is a scary concept, if one is electing an official for office and their primary selection is based on looks over values, wow we have a major problem. Also in the article, Bill Clinton won the hearts of the female voters solely based on his looks and bravado. With women's lib and philosophy being preached but not being practiced. In a society which yells women shouldn't be judged on looks why is it ok for them to judge based on the one thing they claim is totally wrong. With this paradox being offered maybe this long entery into voting has some justification. So before one starts to say the man is evil and the man has done this and that, maybe its that lack of judgement that some women have that has kept them back.
