Can anyone help me???!

Question: OK...I did an online menstral calander and even at the longest duration between periods (42 days) I am still late with my period. I went to the doctor last tuesday and they did a pregnancy test and it was negative. I had my tubes tied almost 6 years ago. I have had cervical cancer and am now in remission. I have not gained or lost weight. I have not been stressed. I am not really worried or anything, just more curious as to why I could be this late. I have had none of the normal signs of pregnancy, no tender breasts, morning sickness or anything like that. When I went to the doctor I told him that I had been very slightly nauseus(sp) and that I had been dizzy with leg pains and headaches also. He did an exam and said that I had vertigo. He said that would not make my period late though and advised me to wait until the end of the month and then go see my obgyn to see if the cancer was back. I am not sure that I beleive him though. What else could be making my period late?

Vertigo? What a vague diagnosis. Listen, so many things could be causing this. I am not sure but I would say that most people on yahoo answers late at night like this, although we are nice intelligent people are only guessing reasons. Few of us are qualified. You should always, always get a second opinion. It's not a slam towards your doctors ability, however his diagnosis seems rushed and besides with your history a second opinion is almost a no brainier. Good luck.

menopause possibly? i dont know how old you are, but some women can get it earlier in life if they have their tubes tied.

How old are you? Could you be going through early menopause. Sometimes being treated for cancer can cause you to go into menopause.
