Question: How do you get rid of cramps? I'm on Midol right now, i'm in the third or fourth year of my period, so i'm used to it. But lately.. my cramps get to the point where i'm crying wearing a hot pad on my legs and ice pack on my lower region.

Please, what do you do?

Oh gosh I have the same problem. I have actually been hospitalized for cramps, I have a tendancy to pass out when they get too bad, and sometimes lately I have actually gotten contractions. I suffrered from it all the way through highschool but now that I have gotten in college I decided to go on the pill to help. It really has helped but if the pill is not an option do not take midol it works for normal periods but not for girls like us. Talk to your doctor first but I actually would start out the first sign of my period with taking 3 to 4 advils then 1 more 3 hours after that...be sure to ask your doctor first bc too much advil can lead to kidney and liver problems. I feel your pain sweetie.

also curling up in the fetal position helps alot...just lay with you feet close to the wall so its easier to stay in the fetal position

good luck

Might not be able to get rid of them completely, but eating healthy foods, especially organic, and getting lots of exercise help. Stay away from chocolate and coffee.

Well you could try stretching it help a lot sometimes. You could also try drinking tea that can help a lot too. Also drink a lot of water!!
Hope i helped and good luck!

Take 2 panadol. I find it the best pain reliever. Drink a lot of water and sip herbal tea (ginger is the best). Eat toast if you have an acidy feeling inside. A trick my mother taught me was to elevate the legs to alleviate period pain. Or take Evening Primrose it is suppose to alleviate pms and ease cramping.
If it's just cramps and not a sharp pain do a little bit of exercise. If the pain is constant and sharp get some rest.
