well put it this way i am a very clean person i shower/ bath everyday and mine dont smell of fish lol.

That is not a myth. That is very true with unhygienic practices, say, not washing your vagina for 3days will make it stink so bad. Also, if it has an infection, a bacterial infection that will render your vagina like a 3 day old red snapper is Trichomonas vaginitis, it stinks so bad you cant miss it.
However, if you wash that area regularly and practice safe sex all the time, it gives off a very tolerable scent.
Because of fish laddies from the medieval period it just carried on into Tudor period but this rumour never really took of until the Victorian period and the fish laddies then were very poor and treated like dirt they were ignored by everyone.
Maybe they put smelly fishes on thir vagina?? LOL
Trichomonas vaginitis is the infection that causes the so-called fishy smell.
