Nuvaring Help??!
Question: I just started the nuvaring today, so maybe I'm just over-reacting, but how do I know its in far enough? I'm currently on the 3rd day of my period and when i take out tampons (it says on the site that it's ok to use them) the ring slips out about half way. I'm scared that even though I can't feel it, that it's not far enough in. Does anyone have problems with the ring slipping out? I haven't had sex with it in yet, but im scared it might be a problem. Any advice/tips would be great.

Using the ring with tampons is a little awkward, but after you get past this cycle, you shouldn't have your period and have the ring in at the same time again. Just be careful with it with the tampons, and you should be okay.
As for sex, it never bothers me or my partner and I have never experienced mine ever slipping out (and I have a rather short vaginal cavity). I honestly love my NuvaRing. I remember having the same concerns with I first started using it, and it took me a month or so to get used to not panicking about it slipping out.
I asked my gyno to insert it for me becaue I wasn't getting it in far enough. But it still kept falling out. Nuvaring doesn't work for everyone. You might try having your gyno insert it or trying another birth control.
