Using strong soaps and douching destroys the "good bacteria" that keeps the vagina healthy, good bacteria helps keep the vagina a little bit acidic (ph) which keeps "bad bacteria" from growing too fast, if it grows too fast it causes infections.
Bacterial infections cause a heavy yellow/grey/brown to green vaginal discharge with a foul odor and is treated with antibiotic's...if a bacteria infection does not clear up or returns, you must go back to your doctor for a vaginal culture swab and get another prescription of antibiotics. You have to take them everyday until you finish the entire prescription to totally rid the body of the bacteria that is causing the infection...untreated bacterial vaginosis can lead to a painful pelvic inflammatory disease which can cause infertility.
(sometimes taking antibiotic's can cause a yeast infection, severe burning and itching with a cottage cheese-like discharge which is treated with a medicated creme or suppository) (monistat)

srry idk

wow

Gosh. I dont know what cud be done. But you cud have a mild fungal infection in there. Usually when women have fungal infections they get this odor. check with ur gynac

i have no idea but you can try soaking in a warm bath with a cup of baking soda but I would think you should see a Gyn

what soap?use feminine wash..maybe it'll help..

i would definatly go back to your doctors, it sounds like an infection and the last course of antibiotics didnt work. The doctor will be able to do some tests to decide what the best course to take would be. I hope you get it sorted out soon. strong soap may make it worse by irritating the area.
take care

you should have that checked out. its usually caused by stress and imbalance in your system. oh and ease off the strong soap, you should be using something thats gentle (try summers eve products). hope this helps!

you really need to go to your gyn. They can do some tests and if need be supply you with the correct medicine, or tell you if this is normal for you.

Purchase feminine deodorant spray. It will eliminate the odor. You need to see a doctor to get test run to see what kind of infection you have. Women have so much going on with there bodies. I know this is uncomfortable. A physician (gyn) is the only way to go at this point.

now you didnt say anything about burning so if its just smell it could be a few things, women jsut have a natural order anyways and the foods you eat can make a difference ie meats, onions, garlic etc will make your body order much stronger when fruits especially pinapples will make your order more sweet. but don't use strong soaps as that will probably make it worse and let it air out after shower before putting underwear on and don't sleep in underwear but they do have these store bought tests to see if its a yeast infection or if you need to make an appointment, oh yeah and keep yourself groomed down there since bacteria will thirve in too much hair,

You may have had happen what we call in the medical biz: "one thing has lead to another". You said you were given an antibiotic. And that probably took care of the specific bacteria it was suppose to get rid of. But... in killing one bacteria, the normal flora or vaginal enviroment is then suseptable to another bacteria - possible one that was unaffected by the antibiotic you took. Moreover, when bacteria in the vagina are altered, the Ph is perfect for a yeast infection. Suffice it to say the vaginal enviroment is very prone to all sorts of ailments. You may need to return to your Gyn doc and see if something new has taken the place of the bacteria that was killed. More importantly, you need to be sure the antibiotic worked as in this age of 1,000+ kinds of antibiotics: we are creating super bacteria that are Immune to antibiotics. Good luck! Dr Steve

See an ob-gyn... sounds like you have an infection unless you have an odd diet. Either way, you'll find what you need to know from a medical doctor.

Use toothpaste,instead of feminine wash....

Little bit difficult. Depends on the smell and also the colour of the discharge.

If the discharge has a fishy smell and appears greyish in colour then is likely to be an infection called bacterial vaginosis. This is common and symptoms are as a result of the change in the vaginal pH. It is not sexually transmitted. Treatment is with antibiotics (commonly metronidazole). If you douche ie use perfumes/deodarents/scented soaps, then stop, as this can make it worse.

A yellow frothy discharge can be associated with a sexually transmitted disease called trichomonas. This can be diagnosed when your doctor has a look at your cervix and also takes swabs.

Sometimes foreign bodies such as retained tampons can also give offensive smelling discharges.

It would be worthwhile seeing your doctor to have samples taken of the discharge to check for infection.

There are also non-infectious causes which may need to be considered by your doctor, again the different causes may be influenced by how old you are, whether you have had babies and if so how they were delivered. Sometimes if there is a tract between the vagina and urine system you may leak urine, which may appear as if it were a discharge.

If it has a really strong smell, you have an infection. Go to the ob/gn immediately!!

go see a doctor. it could be an infection.:-)

i would go back to the doctors. it sounds liike a fungas that is in you vagina!
