If it is clear or slightly yellow, then this is normal discharge and nothing you do will get rid of it. This is the vagina's way of self-cleaning. If your discharge is thick, greenish, thick white in color, or has a really bad odor, seek some attention from a doctor since this could be a sign of infection. Use a pantyliner. It will keep you clean and dry, and change them when they become wet.

just wear a pantyliner
it happens to everyone

well. sorry you really need to go the the gyno. but if you just cant. go get some otc yeast infection med. like monastat (sp?) try that...... if that doesnt work you prob have a bacterial infection which requires a doctors rx.... you seem really young, dont mess w/ things like this, it can cause infertilty later in your life....

Interesting that you wouldn't want to tell your Mom. She has a vagina too and would probably understand. You could have an infection of some sort that could be easily resolved with a trip to the Doctor. If it is indeed an infection, you must have it treated.

can you give us more info? what does the discharge look like? does it smelly funny? do not use monostat assuming its a yeast infection. if it is something else, using that can make it worse.

if the discharge is stretchy and thin (like egg whites) or watery, this is normal. if it has a weird smell, is chunky or discolored i would highly recommend talking to your mom and seeing a doctor.

you can go to planned parenthood without telling your mom. They are confidential if you ask them to. Look it up and find one in your area, but please dont ignore your body because its the only one you have.
