My stool is blood, what is it?!
Question: I didnt feel well this afternoon, and finally went to the bathroom 4 hours later, and since then I've had diaherria. About an hour ago, I wiped, and saw blood, I thouht maybe my tampon leaked, but, no, it came from my butt. I told my mom, and she didnt seem to worried, she thought it was maybe a hemmeriod, or trauma from keeping it in. If it keeps up, I have to go to the doctors. I went on web MD and saw such things as Crohns Disease and Ghoneria. I'm not sexually active.

When I treat patients in the clinic, I think of a few things...
hemorrhoids
colon cancer
You are too young for it to be colon cancer. If you are not sexually active, it is not gonorrhea. I also doubt that you have hemorrhoids. Crohn's disease is another issue which would have a long list of symptoms to go with it, not just blood in the stool.
Most likely, because you have diarrhea, you have irritated the mucosa that lines your colon or the skin around your anus. Do you actually have blood in the toilet when you go, or do you just have blood on the toilet paper when you wipe? If there is blood in the toilet more than once, you should see a doctor. If it is just blood on the toilet paper, I wouldn't worry about it unless it continues for 48 hours after your diarrhea has stopped.
this could be a sign of internal bleeding. see a doctor right away!
It depends on how much blood there was. Was it just a small smear on the toilet paper, or was it actually leaking out freely? Has there been any more bleeding since? Did the blood look dark or "stale" rather than fresh and bright red? When you had a bowel movement, did it have a black, tarry appearance? If you answer yes to any of these, call a doctor right away as your condition could be serious.
If it is serious, though, I would suspect trauma as the cause rather than a chronic illness such as Crohn's or gonorrhea, unless you've had other symptoms before this.
If all it was, was a smear of blood when you wiped, there hasn't been more bleeding, and the blood was fresh and bright colored, then chances are it was just a hemorrhoid or small tear around your rectal area resulting from the diarrhea.
You can pop tiny capillaries while having a bowel movement.
It really is not that serious unless you bleed a LOT.
its probably a fissure. a fissure is a tear in the lining of the rectum, or your mom could be right, it could be hemmorodes, its a tumor in one of the blood vessels, and when you strain to have a bowel movement, it tears open and bleeds. go to the web and write in (fissures), it will explain it better then me.
