Can a doctor really know without doing tests?!

Question: I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago. The doctor did blood work then and all kinds of tests but she didnt do a sonogram or an ultrasound to actually see if I have the cysts on my ovaries. Anyway, I changed doctors and the new doctor that I started seeing last week did the pap smear but said she didnt feel any cycts on my ovaries. She sent me for blood work but I dont go back to get the results until this thursday. So my question is: Can a doctor tell if you have PCOS or cysts on your ovaries just by feeling?

They can't tell that you don't have it by feeling.
They may be able to confirm you have it (in extreme cases), but generally you can't tell from feeling.

no saver to check and do necessary tests, also for patients sake,if a doctor is good he/she will check her findings by TESTS

I have cysts on my ovaries that showed up on a CT scan I had done of my abdomen, but the doctor never felt them during exams. If the cysts are small, they may be hard to feel. Blood work is going to show the hormonal imbalances usually linked to PCOS. The cysts may only be seen in an ultrasound, especially if they're small.

Yes!

PCOS is a multifaceted disorder, and you don't need to have multiple cysts on your ovaries to be diagnosed with it. Other signs and symptoms include irregular periods, no periods, facial hair, abnormal hormone levels, insulin resistance (pre-diabetes).
