be honest with her she was once 16 also it won't be as bad as you think it will be ...as my daughter said mom i know this will be hard for you to except but i feel it is better even if you get hurt or mad over it but i been and i need ...yes i was in shock but then she said mom we all grow up sooner or later and i had hoped tell you this was later going to save us both more pain if i had come to you and said mom i am pregnant then you would have had alot more to deal with and me too..then she told me she was sorry and hope i understood ...she was right i was upset but also i was happy for more reason than she knew ..so i helped her... i felt that she had the sense to come to me and i was thankful not pregnant ...and i also knew that if i handled it correctly it would build a trust and keep the communication open between us ...just talk to her please and remember it will be OK and alot better than not telling her later if she gets upset use this it worked on me good luck dear ...i will add in some states you can also go to the health dept and get help with birth control without an adult consent for free at your age.

Do a fake pregnancy scare - his mom will probably offer to buy them for you after that :)

Go to a local planned parenthood, they can help you get BC.

Well, time to drop the bomb. Just tell her.

Birth control isn't 100% effective either, but if it's used properly it's pretty close.

But anyways, just calmly explain to her that you two have been having sex, protected, and that you want to go on something that will make it even safer.

Yuo should not be having sex with your boyfriend!! and if you love your "mom" then you should tell her !

omg..:P
haha just don't tell her.
oh and btw..you can't get preg. if you don't have sex so that's another way to prevent it..
just so u know you have options;)

haha but for real. don't say anything

you ANd your bf should tell her together. just tell her you've been having sex and you think your ready to go on the pill, she should respect your maturaity and that your taking the responsibilty so dont worry too much. :)

You can go to a health unit without a parent or gaurdean and they cant tell your parents. in the mean time use a spermicide like VCF vaginal contriceptive foam avalible at any drug store, or walmart

even if she doesn't know I'm sure it won't come as a surprise. before you do ask her think about the type of mom she is because she may be cool with or she may just flip out. Remember you don't need parental permission to get birth control on your own.

After three years, she probably has a suspicion, so just spit it out! Or, you could say that you want to regulate your period. If that doesn't work, then maybe you could consider something OTC as your backup method, like a cervical sponge. Good for you on being responsible!

im pretty sure she assumes anyway since you guys live together, lol. if you dont want her to know just go to a local health clinic..thats what I did..and its 100% confidential..and they exam you and give you the pills for free.

Or just tell her. if you guys are close im sure she'll understand

JUST ASK HER IF YALL CAN HAVE A MATTURE CONVERSATION AND DROP THE BOMB I MEAN U MIGHT THINK SHE DNT KNOW BUT IM PRETTY SURE SHE DOES SHE WAS NOT BORN YESTERDAY YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN.......AND SHE MIGHT EVEN BE GLAD YOUY TOLD HER SO HER SON IS NOT A FATHER AT WHAT EVER AGE IT IS JUST GET THE COUARGE AND DO IT....IT WILL ALL WORK OUT AND LIFE GOES ON IF NOT LOVE MUCH TAYLA!

no deffinetly don't do a fake preg. scare...that will just show u as a liar and drama queen and to immature to ask for what you need...and u seem so mature to even be worrying about birth controll so props to u!

I would let her know why you want birth controll...let her know ur trying to be responsible and all of that....LISTEN to her and see from her point of view.....try to maturely talk it out....u sound like u can!

good luck and honesty is always the best policy! trust me!:)

say you need it to lighten and regulate your period.
