haha im not laughing at you just at when i went through this
i used to steal my moms and she would complain that she had none left and id say i didnt know where they went
but eventually i went to walmart with a close friend and bought some.. even if your afraid of the cashier they have self checkouts
hope it helps

Buy pads for the first time. Tampons can hurt you if you have not had sex or you are having a light period. It might seem gross, but pads really absorb all the tissue and blood. Take Iron supplements during your period. Be sure to have some Midol Teen Forula with you in case you get cramps! Happy Early Period!

I always feel comfortable asking my mom to buy me stuff. I can understand, though, if you are uncomfortable. You will have to work your nerves up to talk to your mom or a lady adult (I find it MUCH more awkward to talk to men) about this stuff. It is all about working your nerves up. You really need to do it. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your mom, are there any other girls who could help you? Believe me, your mom knows EXACTLY what it feels like. She probably went through the same thing when she was your age!

it is normal to be embarrassed to buy them. I have my bf buy them for me.

Don't listen to that emma person

I was scared just to tell me mom : / its ok you can buy it infront of other people i don't really think they think anythinf of it....it seems like they think your weird or something but i dont really think people think that

its normal..every girl has that....if they look weird at you look weird at them back : ] GL!

or go to target or walmart or the market and buy a bunch of other stuff at the same time...

It's always more comfortable to use pads at first. If you want to try tampons, just buy the ones that are very small. I was so scared at first to use tampons...and actually I used pads for several years before working up the nerves to try them...but once I did, I don't want to go back to pads! Mom's are usually the best place to go...she knows how you feel honey, cause she had to use them too :)

1st of all a period is normal 4 every girl becoming a woman so there's no reason 2 b embarrassed.start out with pads because like the other girl said it can hurt if ur a virgin or don't bleed much.if u just want 2 use tampons u can put a little vaseline or babyoil on it 2 help out.make sure 2 read the directions.take some tylenol or midol if u have cramps that will help alot.good luck honey :)

You should use pads at first. Tampons can be painful and confusing to use. If you read the instructions it will be helpful. You really need to talk to your mom, or maybe an aunt or older friend or cousin. If you do not have anyone like that in you life you feel comfortable talking to go to your school nurse.
Here are a couple of websites to check out...
