Well in reality we women have only a few days in the month when we can actually get pregnant.. and it's usually during the third week of our menstrual cycle. So I don't think you have to worry too much but if your period does come late, it would be best to test like a week after
Test AFTER you're due on. Otherwise it may have a false result. So if you're due on in three weeks, do it after that - preferably a few days cos it's possible that you may just be a bit late for some reason. It happens. And, unless you WANT to get pregnant, use protection, all the time.
That is right about prime ovulation time for many women. I'd test for pregnancy with one of the kits you can use before your missed period or see a doctor for a real test.
Lay off the unprotected sex in the future unless you're trying to get pregnant.
